The first stop is the magnificent Madakaripura Waterfall, a breathtaking natural wonder located in Probolinggo, East Java. This is one of the tallest waterfalls in Indonesia, standing at an impressive 200 meters high. Nestled deep within Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, it’s believed to be the meditation site of Gajah Mada, the legendary military commander and prime minister of the Majapahit Empire.

The journey continues to Mount Bromo, one of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes. Rising 2,392 meters above sea level, Mount Bromo is famous for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. It’s considered sacred by the Tenggerese people, who hold annual ceremonies to honor the spirits of the volcano.

The final highlight is Mount Ijen, home to one of the largest acidic crater lakes in the world. The lake’s turquoise color comes from its sulfur and mineral content. Visitors can also witness the rare and mesmerizing blue flame phenomenon at night—caused by the ignition of sulfuric gases as they meet oxygen, lighting up the crater with an ethereal blue glow.
